Uncooked Jumbo Tiger Shrimp can be boiled or steamed to perfection. They are completely cleaned and available shell-on or peeled and deveined, both with the tail on. These frozen but uncooked beauties bear distinguishing black stripes and pure-white flesh that turns vibrant red and white. Enjoy the buttery texture and firmness that make them ideal for sauteing, BBQing, shrimp cocktails, or anything else you can think of. They are 100% natural—no chemicals or preservatives. We have two headless variations: shell on and hand-peeled and deveined, both with the tail left on for a dramatic presentation in your best-ever shrimp cocktail, favorite pasta dish, seafood stew, or simply sauteed or grilled with a bit of garlic and lemon. Individually flash frozen within hours of harvest to preserve the delicious natural, sweet flavor and firm, succulent texture.
  • These are authentic, genuine black tiger shrimp. Raw and uncooked. There are two varations. One, shell on and headless. Two, peeled, deveined and headless. Black tiger shrimp are known for their slightly sweet taste and firm flesh (a perfect ‘snap’ – great for shrimp cocktail and on the barbeque).
  • Each shrimp is ice glazed and then quick frozen to protect the quality of each shrimp. There are 16-20 shrimp per pound (or between 80 and 100 shrimp in 5 lbs). Black tiger shrimp are sustainably farmed and chemical-free.
  • To thaw, remove the shrimp you want to prepare and put them in a colander and rinse with cold water ,or put the shrimp in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight in a colander on a plate or in a bowl lined with a kitchen towel (the saltwater glaze will melt as the shrimp thaw).
  • Enjoy the buttery texture and firmness that makes them ideal for sauteing, BBQing, shrimp cocktails, or anything else.
  • THE FLASH FREEZING DIFFERENCE. Flash freezing uses extremely cold temperatures to rapidly freeze foods. The process is much faster than traditional freezing and locks in freshness, taste, and quality by minimizing ice crystal formation. (Fast forward through the cellular-level science.) Thanks to the smaller ice crystals, the food — when thawed — maintains its structure, moisture content, and texture.
  • HOW TO PREPARE: From Frozen: Bring unsalted water to a rolling boil, and add shrimp. Return to boil and cook for 2 minutes. Drain. Rinse with cold water (Do not overcook).
